Lineup (4-4-1-1)

In this formation, Carrick will be the ball winner and connector between the defence and midfield. With Kagawa and Cleverly ready to receive them after any interception and distribute them to Rooney to make his runs.

If the middle of the park is pack, Nani or Valencia will always be ready to receive from either our full backs or Carrick and burst through the flanks with their pace.

With the ball at our wingers, Kagawa and Rooney, or even together with Cleverly would be ready to receive the crosses in the centre. We'll have a lot of players capable of going forward and out numbered the opponent's defence.

During attack, we'll have at least 5 men in midfield exchanging passes, looking for spaces etc.

If we're controlling our game well and relax in the midfield area, Kagawa could be played in a more forward line, sort of like a striker, alongside Rooney.

I can see us playing with a very high tempo, fast attacking game with this line up.
