Wenger is a great manager but he seems to have lost the plot a little since 2004, I understand the financial difficulties due to the stadium but this possession football doesn't always work.

Man City now play the formation we went unbeaten with for a season and Utd have been playing a similar formation without the so called defensive midfielders for years.

My plan would be go old school back to 4-2-2-2 with two creative attacking midfielders, over lapping full backs, always 2+ players in the box and the 2 defensive midfielders / midfielders to clear up the scrap's or whatever is cleared.

The line up includes Sahin (apparently coming on loan) and Navas who apparently Arsenal are bidding 15mil for....I would swap him for Rosicky if the transfer isn't true as Rosicky had a great end to the season last year. If Rosicky is out I would play Diaby / THE OX.

If Sahin doesn't arrive either I would simply slot Rosicky into his position and play OX if Navas doesn't arrive either in the attacking midfield role, his strong has great skill, a good passer and has a great shot.

You also have the option of playing Diaby in either position or drop wilshere back in when he returns to full fitness (not before).

Ramsey was awful last season Arteta makes him look like a school boy, he should go on loan.

I would like to feature Bendtner, Arshavin and Chamakh in this but I feel their time is up at Arsenal. Arshavin would love a role behind the strikers and I feel a 6'4/5 Bendter and 6'2/3 Chamakh would help Arsenal score some crosses from time to time and would be useful in games against Stoke or to bring on when your under pressure and holding a lead as the will hold up the ball and head the ball away from dangerous corners etc...
