This formaing is trying to utilise Dzeko's talent as a loan target man, something I feel Mancini often fails to do. Dzeko gets stick from some of our fans for not doing enough, yet I feel it is not entirely his fault. We're just too narrow a team to get the most out of him, hense me playing around with this new formation for when we're resting other strikers. Kolarov is prefered over Clichy for his crossing prowess. Silva can play pin-point passes through to Dzeko and out to the wing. Zabaleta will hopefully cover defensive duties on the right flank and allow winger Sinclair to focus exclusively on providing crosses into the box. The back three tactic is risky but worth a shot, with additional protection coming from Gareth Barry. If his lack of pace proves problematic to these tactics, switch him for the slightly more nimble Javi Garcia.
