Dream Team Football Formation

Lineup (4-3-3)

Zoet (RKC) · Moisander (Ajax) · Douglas (Twente) · Janmaat (Feyenoord) · Martins Indi (Feyenoord) · Van Bommel (PSV) · Strootman (PSV) · Eriksen (Ajax) · Lens (PSV) · Bony (Vitesse) · Tadic (FC Twente)

Zoet: Most talented goalkeeper in the Eredivisie; Vermeer (Ajax) is a close second.
Janmaat: Of all the rightbacks in my opinion the most promising.
Douglas: Had his ups and downs, but is the only central defender in the Eredivisie that has the strength and speed to go places.
Moisander: A fair defender that also scores at times.
Martins Indi: Promising defender that made an excellent debut for Holland this season.
Van Bommel: Despised by some, but equiped with a wonderful pass as wel as an outstanding timing through years of experience at the highest level. Not a single manager in the Netherlands wouldn't play him, although a few fans of other teams might.
Strootman: The coming man of Dutch football. At times somewhat arrogant, but great skill and pace and tough when he needs to be.
Eriksen: Had a disappointing European Championship, but has within the Eredivise unmatched skill and a through ball that is, at times, world class.
Lens: Not the greatest player in the world, but he knows this. Works hard, is fast and has skill.
Bony: A classic goalscorer. Has an impressive fysique, but has at times a surprising technical ability and is always there when he needs to be. Not a real footballing striker in the tradition of Van Basten, Bergkamp or Van Persie, but he scores so easily.
Tadic: A truly gifted player, who is typically seen as a man who creates chances for others, but he can score them himself as well. Won't be seen in the Eredivisie much longer.

Why not...

Vermeer: Very talented, but just that one little mistake too many. Every season.
Alderweireld: Seems somewhat overwhelmed by the high expectations surrounding him.
De Vrij: Is getting there.
Pieters: Injured.
Fer: Just not better than either Van Bommel or Strootman.
Clasie: See the above.
Maher: Great talent, but Eriksen has more experience.
Mertens: Great player, but only every once in a while.
Toivonen: Great player, but unlike Van Bommel he is truly unfair, mean and haughty.
Sigthorsson: Should be in this team, but has proven to be a man of glass.

This is just a very personal dream team. I am aware that everyone making a dream team with the same starting point (the Eredivisie) would see things differently.
