van Persie · Rooney · Kagawa · Anderson · Valencia · Cleverley · Büttner · Jones · Vidic · Smalling · De Gea- Valencia has the class and capability to play in a more central role. He offers a lot defensively as well.
- Him, along with Cleverley and Anderson would form a solid midfield.
- Further up we have Kagawa who would play the trequartista or 'no.10' role behind the two main strikers, van Persie and Rooney.
- This formation is versatile and can easily switch to a 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1 or a diamond 4-1-2-1-2 depending on the situation.
