Bayern Munich "Europe Champion XI" (1996)

In 1996, Bayern Munich achieved the rare feat of winning all three main UEFA club competitions (European Champions Clubs' Cup-UEFA Champions League, UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and UEFA Cup-Europa League). Bayern was only the third (and the last) club ever to do so, following Juventus in 1985 and Ajax in 1992.

The formation was more of 5-2-1-2, but was flexible enough to accommodate a variety of other formations, keeping Matthäus fixed as a Sweeper.
