Brazil Football Formation
Lineup (4-4-2)
Claudio Taffarel · Marcio Santos · Aldair · Cafu · Branco · Dunga (c) · Mauro Silva · Mazinho · Zinho · Bebeto · RomárioBrazil "Victorious" XI (1994)
The Brazil team was not favourite this time, but went on to become the deserving winner; thanks to a new attacking combination of striking duo - Romário and Bebeto. Supporting these two was a determined team led by Rai and Dunga, which concentrated on a tight defense and solid midfield helping to add to the typical Brazilian strike force.
Although this Brazilian team was very European in their approach - a result of having most players playing in European clubs; however once the strike partnership of Romário and Bebeto clicked, it was again the typical Brazilian flair seen every now and then, amidst a strict midfield-centric tactical game.
The victorious Brazil team dedicated their win to the late triple Formula One world champion Ayrton Senna, who had died in an accident at that year's San Marino Grand Prix two and a half months previously.
