I believe the 3-5-2 is best option for brazil. the problem with brazil teams of the past was the dependency of possession. brazil is made for the counter- attack with their speed, creativity and attacking fullback. dante gives thiago silva the dependent partner he need next to him to anchor the defense. david luiz is then allowed attack when the opportunity comes without leaving at a disadvantage. luis guztavo is the destroyer that has good passing abilities also can easily move back when david luis moves forward. fernandinho is the best box to box midfielder in the world and his awarness and passing abilities will do wonders for the team, also has a great long shot. hernanes as the no. 10 is great since he has decent defending abilities and his passing is creative and can attack at will. also the fact that he can shoot with either foot is an added bonus. Neymar in this formation is given more free space and is supposed invite attackers bring out his best qualities. the pato selection is purely based on if he gets back to form. if he does he is absolutely the best option here if not fred is very reliable.
