Lineup (4-2-3-1)

I am vice captain/ manager of a rec league team in the USA. Before the first game, I sent out an email asking everyone their best position and what characteristics they possessed. Long story short, we had a lot of midfield talent and speed and I had to pick a formation that would get all my best midfielders on the field at the same time, an attacking formation without sacrificing too much defense. I went with a 4-2-3-1 formation with one of the defensive midfielders pushed slightly forward with more of a focus on distributing passes up to the attacking midfielders while the other defensive midfielder is further back and focused more on winning the ball. The fullbacks are also pushed slightly forward in order to support the midfielders on attacks, and to drop back more when defending.
