This is the team most likely to be used for next season/ Team I would like to see for next season (I am a Chelsea Fan). Some of the players shown are included due to speculation and rumors linking them to Chelsea. This is what I believe to be Chelsea's strongest team to play nest season, ofcourse changes can be made around the team.

Chelsea's most likely formation to be used under Mourinho and the standard formation used now. Very Common among most teams in Europe now like Bayern Munchen, Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid. This formation is very effective due to the combination of 2 defensive midfielders and 3 attacking midfielders. The midfield is packed and has a balance of defensive to attacking. Also the 2 defensive midfielders can be used as pivots so that 1 may stay as a deep lying/3rd centre back type player and another as more attacking and can join the 3 attacking midfielders.

The normal 4 defenders is used as it is most common and most effective.

The 1 down side to this formation is having only 1 striker upfront by himself and depending on the striker it can be hard for him to get goals as it can feel you are on your own upfront, but also depends on the 3 attacking players around him to help him. Also the 2 wide players in the 3 attackers can be a downfall as they can either be to wide as be a winger type player or too tucked in/central so that they disrupt the central attacking player. A balance needs to be put in so 1 player is wider and 1 is slightly tucked in but not leaving gaps on 1 side. Also this affects how much the attacking players get back to defend.

Overall this formation is very good and it is easy to see why it is used so much by top teams as the midfield is very compact and strong but lack of striking options and how the 2 attacking players on each side of the flanks are used can be its downfall.

In Goal again I expect Petr Cech as Thibaut Courtois will be likely to extend his loan spell at Athletico Madrid to give him More first team action than he would at Chelsea. I have put Diego Lopez in this squad as Mourinho has a habit of bringing players with him to other clubs and I think that Diego Lopez will not get as much playing time at Real Madrid under a new manager as he did under Mourinho. I would expect Mourinho to try and persuade him to follow him to Chelsea as he is more likely to get more playing time their.

In my Chelsea team I have included the same Defense as last year but with exception of Raphael Varane in the team, as Mourinho is an admirer of him and at the age of only 19 he is seemed destined to be 1 of the best Centre backs in the nest few years. As part of having Varane, David Luiz will probably leave as Mourinho seems to not trust him and think he is solid enough. A swap deal will probably occur between Real Madrid and Chelsea.

As for he midfield, The attacking 3 will generally stay the same but with the inclusion of another winger to include some pace needed in Chelsea, Andre Shurrle.Andre Shurrle to Chelsea is basically a done deal but some extra details need to be hammered down into the contract. The Centre Defensive roles have been Chelsea's weak point this season, I have included Marco Van ginkel as He has been linked to Chelsea and is very cheap for Chesea to snatch, it is likely he would join as Vitesse and Chelsea have a good relationship due to Chelsea sending many of their youth players to Vitesse.

For the striker, I do not expect Chelsea to need to buy any new strikers as they already have Romelu Lukaku who has been in great form and has potential to be the best. I t is debatable whether Fernando Torres Will stay or go, he looks likely to stay.Also Demba Ba can be used as a good back up striker or starter if Romelu Lukaku needs rest or is injured.

In think this team could possibly win the Title Next season or atleast contend for the title. Since Mourinho is likely to return to Chelsea and the general first season success he tends to have at most clubs he has been at I expect Chelsea to do well next season. With a good team morale and everyone working together as a team and not individually, Chelsea can be very successful nest season.
