Now I know the first question I'm going to get is WTF Dempsey at LAM?!?! Yes. The one thing that Dempsey does extremely well is make weakside attacking runs into space. This is how he scores most of his poachers goals. With Bale and Benteke getting so much attention from the backline, I could see Dempsey having a field day. Having a poacher performing as a secondary striker with such a dominating target man and a world class player like Bale makes me salivate.

To me, the thing about this formation is it's flexibility. Dembele could replace Sandro or Paulinho as one of the DM's. Holtby could be slotted at CAM if Dembele is DM or for rotation. Sigurdsson and Lennon would be able to replace Dempsey if we need more creativity (Siggy) or pace/width (Lennon).
