Seattle Sounders Football Formation
Lineup (4-2-3-1)
Keller · Parke · Ianni · Gonzalez · Riley · Alonso · Carrasco · Friberg · Fernandez · Montero · WhiteKeller - Best Keeper we have
Parke - Best CB
Ianni - Best CB pairing with Parke last season, why break-up a good thing
Gonzalez and Riley - Look to attack the flanks more thanks to coverage from CMs
Carrasco - Looked solid as tackler and made smart passing choices
Alonso - Great tackler and coverer, distributor role mostly removed but new role added i.e. look to join the play late to utilize his long range shooting ability.
Friberg - Obviously our best and smartest passer. Decent tackling ability but not a main focus.
Fernandez - Smart passer and understands use of space. With Riley as overlap option, allows him to make runs between defenders for pass-back or Friberg through-balls
Montero - Not a great work ethic but highly skilled at retaining possession and give-and-go moves. Would be great to link up with Gonzalez overlap or to use overlap to move inside for through-ball pass to White or shot form distance.
White - Very athletic and has good vision in movement and link up play. Haven't seen potential realized due to lack of first team football and lack of consistent service that has plagued all Sounder forwards.
