Tottenham Hotspur Football Formation
Lineup (4-1-3-2)
lloris · vertonghen · dawson · chiriches · kaboul · rose · fryers · naughton · walker · sandro · capoue · paulinho · dembele · chadli · townsend · lamela · lennon · eriksen · holtby · soldado · defoe · adebayorthis formation suits tottenham as it allows them to utilise all of there attacking talent they possess. with 4 at the back the 2 fullbacks can attack and the cb's are covered by the defensive midfielder who sits in front of the defence and cleans up danger like sandro and capoue. if there is a lot of danger the further forward cm can play a part in defending and attacking, dembele and paulinho are perfect for this role.
the wingers are supported by full backs and feed off the cms like paulinho and dembele, sandro and capoue can win the ball and pass to a fast player like lamela, lennon or townsend for them to break quickly, or for a slower build up like avb prefers the counter can be lead with the defensive midfielder passing to the attacking/defending midfielder in a dembele who will release the wingers, eriksen and holtby can also play these roles in a more narrow team, who will feed off of a tall play like chadli and adebayor winning headers.
the 2 strikers will be well supported by the 2 wingers and midfielders and if they have a good partnership like aguero and negredo will score the most goals by working together. i think this is the formation tottenham to play as we play very slowly and pass around our own half because there are always options, with 2 strikers and wingers, there is 1 less cm which will force us to play wide and stretch teams, and then we can have lamela/townsend cutting in and shooting or providing a cross for our strikers.
