In part two of my experiment, we attempt a Netherlands XI, and as in football, we are in awe at the greatness of such a small nation.
An all-artist back line includes some of the greatest off all time, including full-backs Rambrandt and van Gogh. The midfield is responsible for the incredible advances in scientific understanding provided by Cristiaan Hugans and Van Leeuwenhoek, who together allowed us to study life in its smallest forms. And finally, Erasmus leads the line as one of the greatest of all writers. Put the fearless of Wiliam the Silent in goal, and we have an incredibly strong national side.
