About this formation:
Pavlyuchenko as the centre-forward (rather than endless long balls to Crouch). Defoe using his pace from deeper. Pace on the flanks too from Lennon and Bale. Modric and Huddlestone as central midfielders, often dropping deep when in possession to find space to use their range of passing. Defence pretty much picks itself, although Kaboul has been very impressive at right-back and edges Corluka, who has to be one of the slowest under-30 full-backs I've ever seen. No question over Gomes as keeper. -

About this formation:
This is the expected formation of Tottenham Hotspur for the Premier League game against Stoke City on Saturday March 20 2010.
The following players are all out: Tom Huddlestone, David Bentley, Jermaine Jenas, Aaron Lennon, Jonathan Woodgate and Carlo Cudicin.
Pavlyuchenko should still keep Peter Crouch on the bench after his 2 goals last week week.
