Kawasaki-F aims to control games through a high press and heavy ball retention, utilizing a 4-5-1 formation. This lineup is built to dominate the middle of the pitch and squeeze the opponent in their own half. By packing the central zones, the team can win the ball back high up the pitch and immediately look to probe the defensive lines.

Louis Thebault Yamaguchi guards the goal as the last line of defense. In front of him, a flat back four keeps the defensive unit compact. Jesiel acts as a ball playing defender to start attacks, while Cesar Haydar provides cover and strength in the heart of the defense. Asahi Sasaki and Sai Van Wermeskerken act as wide defenders, with the ability to push high to provide width when the team has the ball. This back line works to hold a high line to keep the distance between the defense and the midfield small.

The midfield is a dense five man unit designed to dominate the center. Kento Tachibanada and So Kawahara act as a double pivot to shield the defense and recycle possession. Yasuto Wakizaka plays in the center to connect the defensive and attacking lines, often dropping deep to receive the ball. Marcinho and Yuki Yamamoto operate in the half spaces to press aggressively and win the second ball. This midfield group can quickly shift to cover gaps and deny the opponent time on the ball.

In the attacking phase, Kawasaki-F relies on a lone striker, Erison, who acts as a physical presence to hold up the ball. Erison works to pin the last defender and create space for the midfielders. The wide players, Marcinho and Yuki Yamamoto, move into advanced positions to support the attack. The team builds play through short passes in the middle before looking to exploit the flanks or play through the lines to Erison. This setup creates many chances for late runs into the box from the attacking midfielders.

One major advantage for Kawasaki-F is the numerical superiority in midfield, which makes it very difficult for opponents to play through the center. The formation also allows for coordinated waves of pressing that can force a long ball from the opposition. By squeezing the space between the lines, the team maintains high levels of compactness. This makes it very hard for the opposition to find passing lanes into their strikers.
