Starting Lineup

Elijah stays between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back line consists of a back five where Arabian sits in the center of the defense to command the area. On either side of him, Dao and Rimuru act as wide centre-backs to cover the channels and win the second ball. Shinra and Gurgen operate as attacking wing backs, providing width when the team has the ball but dropping back to form a narrow defensive block when defending. This group works together to hold the line and squeeze the space in front of the goal.

In front of the defense, Barcelona employs a four man midfield to control the middle of the pitch. Ludde sits in the single pivot role to shield the defense and pick up runners. Zent and BTU occupy the central spaces to connect the defensive and attacking lines, with BTU looking to carry the ball forward into the half spaces. Aidn works alongside them to help press in a mid-block and ensure the midfield stays compact. This unit is responsible for recycling possession and finding ways to break the line through quick passing.

The attack is led by a lone striker, Pudding, who acts as a focal point for the team. Pudding must hold up the ball to allow the midfield to push up and support the play. When the team wins the ball back, the wing backs Shinra and Gurgen push high to provide width, while the midfielders look to arrive late into the box. The goal is to create runs in behind the opposition defense or use the wingers to get to the byline and deliver crosses to the center.

One major advantage of this formation is the extreme compactness when defending, which forces the opposition to play wide and try to cross. This makes it easier for Arabian and the wide centre-backs to win the header and clear the lines. Another strength is the speed of transition when the midfield recovers the ball, allowing the team to catch the opponent out of position.
