SCHETTINE operates as a lone striker who must hold up the ball to allow the team to move up the pitch. He works to pin the last defender and create space for ALAN to move into. When Moreirense wins the ball, the team looks to hit in behind on the transition. The forwards work in combinations to create runs in behind or cutbacks from the byline. SCHETTINE uses his ability to hold the ball to lay it off to players arriving late into the box.

One major advantage for Moreirense is the ability to press in a mid-block and maintain compactness when defending. The double pivot of OFORI and RUBM ISMAEL makes it hard for opponents to play through the center. Additionally, the team can use the speed of transition to catch opponents out when they commit too many men forward. The presence of ALAN allows the team to maintain a central threat even when playing with a single forward.
