Starting Lineup

Barcelona looks to control the game through high possession and intense pressing in a 3-4-3 formation. This lineup is built to dominate the ball and suffocate opponents in their own half. Supa sits between the lines to play out from the back as the lone goalkeeper. The back three consists of Danny, Ahmed, and AM5. Ahmed acts as the central anchor to win the second ball and hold the line, while Danny and AM5 operate as wide centre-backs to cover the spaces left by the midfield. This defensive unit works to stay compact and squeeze the space between the lines to prevent any direct play.

In the middle of the pitch, the team utilizes a double pivot consisting of Mahdz and Richard. They work together to shield the defence and recycle possession when the game becomes congested. Mahdz often carries the ball forward to drive the team into the attacking third, while Richard helps to secure the area in front of the back three. AB and Ridz occupy the half-spaces as attacking midfielders, acting as the link between the deep pivot and the front three. They are tasked to press aggressively to win the ball high up the pitch and create chances for the forwards.

The attacking front line features three players working in close combinations. Tay operates as a pressing centre-forward to pin the last defender and disrupt the opposition build up. On the flanks, David and Twin work as wide attackers who look to stretch the defence. David often pulls wide to create room for AB to run into the box, while Twin looks to cut inside to threaten the goal directly. This front three uses quick one-twos and runs in behind to catch the opposition out of position.

Barcelona finds strength in their ability to create numerical superiority in the midfield through the movement of AB and Ridz. The wide centre-backs, Danny and AM5, allow the team to shift between a back three and a back five when defending deep. This flexibility provides a high level of compactness when defending against counter attacks. Additionally, the team can use the wide players to isolate opponents in one on one situations.
