Haaland uses his immense physical strength and pace to run in behind defenders, while O. Iversen can hold up the ball to bring others into play. This front line is designed to move in combinations to isolate defenders.

This formation offers huge advantages in transition and verticality. By having four attackers, Norway can pin the last defender and create chaos in the opposition box. The double pivot provides a level of protection that allows the wide players to spread wide and create overloads.
