Starting Lineup

The attack is heavy with four players across the front. Nusa and Ødegaard occupy the wide areas, with Nusa looking to cut inside and Ødegaard using his vision and passing range to split the defense. In the center, Haaland and Sørloth form a partnership. Haaland uses his explosive pace and physical strength to run in behind, while Sørloth can hold up the ball to bring others into play. This front four is designed to press the opposition back line relentlessly and create chances through quick combinations.

One major advantage is the ability to press high in coordinated waves. By having four attackers and two advanced midfielders, Norway can squeeze the space in the opponent's half. Another strength is the speed of transition when they win the ball. The team can immediately hit in behind the defense with Haaland or the wide players. This formation creates massive pressure on the opposition central defenders.
