Starting Lineup

Lech focuses on high pressing and quick transitions within a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup is built to win the ball high up the pitch and move the play forward with speed. The team looks to control the game by squeezing the space and forcing mistakes from the opposition in their own half.

The goalkeeper acts as the first line of defense to sweep behind a high line. In front of him, the back four maintains a high line to keep the team compact. The RB and LB provide width while the RCB and LCB focus on defending zonally. These central defenders must be ready to step up to intercept passes or cover the space if a teammate is beaten. The defensive unit works as a whole to maintain a high line and set the offside trap.

A three-man midfield provides the engine room for Lech. The CM sits deeper to shield the defense and recycle possession, acting as a single pivot. On either side, the LCM and RCM operate as inverted eights who connect the defensive and attacking lines. These players are tasked to press aggressively to win the ball high and then carry the ball forward to drive the team into the final third. This midfield group works to win the second ball and maintain control of the center of the pitch.

The attacking front line uses three attackers to stretch the opposition. The LW and RW act as inverted wingers who cut inside to create goal-scoring opportunities. They often pull wide to create space before cutting in to shoot or pass. The CF operates as a pressing centre-forward, constantly harassing the opposition back line to force a long ball. This attacking unit relies on combinations and quick movement to find space in the box, often looking for runs in behind the defenders.

One major advantage is the ability to press high in coordinated waves, which can disrupt the opponent's buildup. The formation also creates wide overloads when the LB and RB overlap the winger to stretch the defense. Lech can also use their speed of transition to catch teams out of position once the ball is won.

This 4-3-3 formation relies on high intensity and verticality to break down opponents. It is best suited for games where the team can exploit space behind a high defensive line through quick counter attacks.
