This lineup is built to sit deep and absorb pressure before looking to break lines with quick vertical transitions. By crowding the center, the team aims to deny space to the opposition while remaining ready to spring forward when the chance arises.

The defensive unit begins with the GK between the posts, acting as the final line of protection. Ahead of the keeper, a flat back four consists of the RCB and LCB acting as the central pillars to block crosses and clear danger. The RB and LB operate as wide defenders who must balance their duties, often dropping deep to form a back six when the team sits low or pushing up to support the flanks. This unit works together to stay compact and close the gaps between the defenders.

In the middle of the pitch, a double pivot consisting of the LDM and RDM provides a shield for the back four. These two players focus on intercepting passes and breaking up play to stop attacks before they reach the box. Moving higher, the LCM acts as an attacking midfielder to link the defensive work to the rest of the team. The RCM and AM take positions on the flanks, providing width and helping to press the opposition when they try to build from the back.
