This lineup aims to squeeze the pitch and force turnovers in the opposition half to launch quick attacks. The goal is to use the width provided by the wing backs to stretch the defensive block before finding gaps in the central areas.

Risser sits between the lines of defense to command the area from goal. A back three consisting of Baidoo, Gradit, and Sarr provides the foundation for the defensive unit. Baidoo plays as the right center back to cover the wide area, while Sarr acts as the left center back. Gradit anchors the middle of the back three to intercept passes and win aerial duels. This defensive group can sit deep to protect the box or step up to keep the team compact.

The midfield functions as a central engine room with a two-man central pairing and wide players. Sangaré and Haidara occupy the central roles, working to shield the defenders and break the lines with forward passes. Sangaré provides the physical presence to tackle and regain possession, while Haidara looks to drive forward and connect the play. Aguilar and Udol operate as the wing backs, providing the necessary width. They must track back to support the defense and overlap the attackers when moving into the final third.

In the attacking phase, Lens deploys three forwards to pin back the opposition backline. Edouard leads the line as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and make runs into the channels. Thomasson and Thauvin operate as the wide attackers, with Thomasson on the left and Thauvin on the right.
