A high pressing and direct style of play defines the Olympiacos 4-3-3 formation. This lineup aims to win the ball high up the pitch and break the lines quickly to catch opponents out of position. By focusing on verticality, the team seeks to move from a defensive block to a goal scoring chance in as few passes as possible.

ΝΙΚΟΠΟΛΙΔΗΣ stands between the posts to organize the defensive unit. The back four functions as a flat line that can push up to squeeze the space in the middle of the pitch. MELLBERG operates as the right back, ready to overlap to provide width, while ΓΕΩΡΓΑΤΟΣ covers the left flank to support the attack. In the center, ΑΝΑΤΟΛΑΚΗΣ and ΑΝΤΖΑΣ act as the primary defenders, with ΑΝΑΤΟΛΑΚΗΣ providing cover while ΑΝΤΖΑΣ looks to intercept passes and win headers.

The midfield works in a three man unit to control the center of the park. DJORDJEVIC sits in the left central role to link the defense to the attack, while GIOVANNI operates on the right side to drive the ball forward into the final third. RIVALDO occupies the central role to shield the back four and pick out passes to the front line. This trio must press together to prevent opponents from playing through the middle.

Olympiacos relies on three attackers to stretch the opposition. EL KAABI leads the line as a lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and make runs between the defenders. PODENCE cuts inside from the left wing to create shooting opportunities, whereas GALLETTI stays wide on the right to provide crosses and stretch the back line. These attackers press the opponent defenders constantly to force mistakes.

One major strength of this formation is the ability to create wide overloads when the full backs push forward to join the wingers. The midfield presence allows the team to win second balls and transition rapidly through the middle. Additionally, the coordination of the front three ensures that the team can press high in waves, making it very difficult for the opposition to build play from the back.

This 4-3-3 formation provides a balanced platform for aggressive, attacking football. It is ideally suited for matches where the team needs to dominate possession and pin the opponent back in their own half.
