The front line uses three attackers to pin the opponent back. Saint-Maximin plays as a left winger, using his dribbling style to cut inside and beat markers. Thauvin occupies the right wing to provide width and deliver crosses. Edouard acts as the lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and run between the central defenders. These three forwards lead the high press, forcing mistakes in the opposition defensive third.

This formation offers several tactical advantages. The five man midfield creates massive numerical superiority in the center, making it hard for opponents to play through the middle.
