The midfield operates in a flat four to control the central areas and provide width. SANGARE and THOMASSON form a central pairing that seeks to break the line with vertical passes. SANGARE focuses on shielding the back three, while THOMASSON looks to drive forward into the half spaces. On the flanks, AGBONIFO and LABEAU-LASCARY act as wing backs.
