Gavi is known for his intense pressing and work rate to disrupt the opposition, while Bernal looks to receive the ball and play through the lines. This midfield pairing connects the defense to the attack by recycling possession and finding ways to break the lines.

The attacking front three focuses on creating chaos through movement. Rashford leads the line as the lone striker, looking to make runs in behind the defense to stretch the opposition. Dani Olmo plays on the left as an inverted winger to cut inside and create, while Bernardo Silva operates on the right to link play and find pockets of space. These three press from the front to force a long ball from the opposition. The attack relies on quick combinations and movement to isolate defenders in one on one situations.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages, particularly in creating wide overloads. When Cancelo or Gordon push forward, they create extra numbers to help the wingers.
