In the attacking phase, Barcelona employs three attackers across the front. Yamal leads the line as a pressing centre forward, working to pin the last defender. Raphinha plays as an inverted winger on the left to cut inside, while Gordon operates on the right. The team looks to create space through link up play between the lines and quick combinations in tight spaces. When attacking, the wingers look to stretch the defence, allowing Fermín to exploit the pockets of space created by the movement of the front three.

One major advantage of this Barcelona lineup is the numerical superiority in midfield, which makes it very difficult for opponents to maintain possession.
