Fermín pushes forward as an attacking ten to find pockets of space, while Cancelo plays as a left midfielder to provide width and Koundé operates on the right to balance the wide areas.

In the attacking third, the team employs three attackers to stretch the defence. Raphinha acts as the pressing centre-forward to lead the hunt from the front, while Yamal and Gordon occupy the wide channels. Yamal tends to cut inside from the right to create goalscoring chances, whereas Gordon stays wider to provide service. This front three works to pin the last defender and create combinations in tight spaces through quick one-twos and movement between the lines.

This formation offers significant tactical advantages by creating numerical superiority in midfield. By crowding the central areas, Barcelona can recycle possession easily and deny the pivot of the opposition.
