Hull focuses on a high press and quick verticality using a 4-3-3. The team aims to win it back high up the pitch and immediately look to hit in behind on the transition to catch the opposition out of position. This formation allows the players to stretch the defence while maintaining a strong presence in the middle of the pitch.

Jack operates as the lone goalkeeper behind a flat back four. Cody and Matt serve as full backs, while Paddy and John occupy the central defender roles. Paddy and John must hold the line and cover for one another to ensure the team does not get caught by long balls. Matt and Cody are expected to push up to provide width, which requires the central defenders to step up and squeeze the space to keep the defensive unit compact.

The midfield operates as a three-man midfield with a carrier and an attacking ten. Regan and Óscar occupy the central roles, working to control the tempo and recycle possession. Regan acts to shield the defence and win the second ball, while Óscar looks to carry the ball forward and progress through the thirds. Eliot plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, looking to arrive late into the box and find pockets of space between the opposition lines.

Hull uses three attackers across the front to create constant pressure. Oli acts as the lone striker, tasked to hold up the ball and find the feet of the striker's supporting players. Liam and Abdülkadir act as wide wingers who stretch the pitch. Liam prefers to cut inside to create central overloads, while Abdülkadir looks to get to the byline and whip it in. The forwards work together to press from the front, forcing the opposition to play long balls that the back four can intercept.

This lineup offers several tactical advantages through its pressing intensity and width. The presence of Eliot in the hole creates numerical superiority in the attacking third, often leaving the opposition midfield outnumbered. Additionally, the team can create wide overloads when Matt and Cody overlap the winger to force the opposition defense to shift constantly.
