Racing plays a high press game built on intense energy and quick transitions, utilizing a 4-3-3 formation. This lineup aims to win the ball high up the pitch and use verticality to punish opponents before they can settle. The goal is to suffocate the opposition in their own half and use the speed of the front three to break the lines.

JULEN operates between the posts as the last line of defense. A flat back four provides the base for the Racing defensive unit. ÁLVARO and AARÓN act as attacking full backs, looking to push up and provide width on the flanks. In the middle, FACUNDO and JEANUËL act as the central pair, with JEANUËL focusing on winning headers while FACUNDO works to cover space and step into midfield when needed. The unit functions to squeeze the space and force the opposition into long balls.

The midfield functions as a three-man midfield with a carrier and an attacking presence. IVÁN and MATTEO work in the central areas to win the second ball and connect the defense to the attack. SERGIO plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, looking to arrive late into the box and create chances in the half spaces. IVÁN helps to shield the defense, while MATTEO works to carry the ball forward and drive into the opposition lines. This trio ensures the team can recycle possession and press in a mid-block when the ball is lost.

In the attacking phase, the team uses three attackers across the front. YASSIR acts as a pressing centre-forward to pin the last defender and harass the ball carrier. On the wings, IÑIGO and PABLO operate as inverted wingers who cut inside to create numerical superiority in the central areas. This movement allows the full backs, AARÓN and ÁLVARO, to overlap the winger and provide crosses. The front line focuses on link-up play between the lines and quick one-two combinations to find gaps in the defensive block.

Racing gains a significant advantage through the ability to press high in coordinated waves, making it hard for opponents to play out from the back. The movement of IÑIGO and PABLO creates wide overloads when the full backs join the attack. Additionally, the presence of SERGIO in the hole allows the team to find the feet of the striker or play through the lines to exploit gaps. This creates constant pressure on the opposition back line.

This formation is built to dominate games through high intensity and aggressive ball recovery. It is best suited for matches against teams that struggle to play out from the back under pressure.
