This unit is tasked to press aggressively to win the ball high and then quickly move the ball into the final third.

Auxerre utilizes three attackers across the front to stretch the opposition. RYAN acts as a pressing centre forward to harass the opponent back line. On the flanks, ARISTIDE and JOSUÉ operate as inverted wingers who cut inside to create central overloads. These movements create space for the full backs to overlap the winger.
