Hamdan and Yacub operate as the central engines, with Hamdan often dropping between the centre-backs to receive and recycle possession. These players connect the defensive and attacking lines by playing through the lines to find the forwards. Ahmed plays as an attacking ten behind the striker, looking to arrive late into the box and find pockets of space between the opponent's lines.

Up front, Barcelona uses three attackers to stretch the defence. Rashed acts as a pressing centre-forward to force long balls from the opposition.
